Trees are critical to Denver’s environmental health. They improve air quality, assist in stormwater management and help combat climate change. Denver Parks and Recreation and the Office of the City Forester are taking a big step toward creating a greener and cooler community here in Denver. And we need your help!
As we develop the very first Urban Forest Strategic Plan, we’re looking for feedback from ALL Denver residents. The urban forest encompasses all trees within the city, both on public and private property. The purpose of the Urban Forest Strategic Plan is to refine existing tree canopy goals, identify new goals and provide a common and equitable vision for the future of the urban forest in Denver.
Will you help us share this survey with your neighborhood to ensure we’re collecting thoughts from all our Denver neighborhoods? All survey submissions will have the option to enter to win a FREE tree from the city to be planted in a public location of your choice. The survey will be open until May 1.
We’ve provided sample newsletter content, a few attached images and an English and Spanish flyer for you to share with your network as you see fit.
If you have questions or need anything tailored in a certain way, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for helping us PLAN(t) for the future!
