Alameda Avenue Corridor Study

From Cole Neder, a Senior Transit Planner with the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) and a member of the project team that is working with Denver, Lakewood, Aurora, Glendale, the Regional Transportation District (RTD), and CDOT to develop an Alameda Avenue Corridor Study.

The purpose of this study is to identify current safety or mobility challenges along Alameda, and outline solutions to make the corridor safer, better for transit riders, and more accessible for all users in the future. Our steering committee identified Winston Downs Community Association as a group with stakeholders that live, work, or travel along this corridor. We will be hosting six focus groups along the corridor focused on different sections to gather community input on the Alameda corridor and your ideas for future improvements. We thought you would be most interested in the Segment 4 Focus Group, which will discuss the corridor study from University Boulevard to South Quebec Street:
