Firearm surrender programs provide a safe way to dispose of unused and unwanted guns. \nGuns To Gardens Metro Denver – a grassroots community group working to reduce gun violence in the Denver Metro area by dismantling guns and forging the parts into life-giving tools – will be holding their Firearm Safe Surrender Event next week.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSaturday\, December 9\, 2023\n10:00 AM 12:00 PM\nWestwood Community Center\n1000 South Lowell Boulevard in DenverBring your UNWANTED\, unloaded firearms to be dismantled on Saturday\, December 9th from 10am until noon. \nAs a thank you\, you will receive a grocery store gift card\, while supplies last. \n$50 for your long gun/ shotgun\n$150 for your handgun or semi-automatic\n$250 for your assault/ tactical gun\nHomemade guns will be accepted and destroyed\, but no compensation \nHOW IT WORKS \n• No reservation needed; Just come to the parking lot!\n• Arrive with your UNLOADED gun(s) in your trunk\n• Remain in your vehicle\n• Skilled personnel remove your gun(s)\n• Volunteers use a metal chop saw to dismantle your gun(s)\n• Leftover metal parts are transformed into garden tools\n• You remain anonymous\n• No ammunition accepted
