DESCRIPTION:The Inter-Neighborhood Cooperation Transportation Committee will meet via Zoom on Thursday\, May 8th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. \nEveryone is welcome! We discuss a range of transportation\, transit\, and streets topics\, build connections with the agencies and organizations involved\, and ensure that neighborhood input is included in plans at all levels! We’ll get updates on the citizen-initiated Denver Deserves Sidewalks now in its implementation phase and led by our former INC Transportation co-chair Geneva Hooten — now Program Director for the Sidewalks Enterprise Program. We’ll hear a hot-from-the-state-capital update on legislative changes that residents and advocates have helped shape. DOTI will share the results of and next steps for the East Avenues Safety Study\, which neighborhoods along East Colfax pushed for as the BRT was being planned. And Avi Stopper will share the incredible progress of a crowdsourced (and elegant) app and web site developed by his local team to help people find safe and comfortable bike routes wherever they’re going. \nPlease pass along this invite and bring a friend\, because we’re all more effective when we connect with each other and pay attention to the issues and opportunities for safe mobility in our city. \n\nDenver Sidewalks Program Gets Going! — Geneva Hooten\, DOTI Program Director\, Sidewalks Enterprise Program\nState Legislative Wrap-Up — Matt Frommer\, SWEEP Transportation & Land Use Policy Manager\nEast Avenues Safety Study — Molly Lanphier\, DOTI Community Designer\nBike Streets: Safe and Comfortable Biking in Denver\, Now — Avi Stopper\, Bike Streets Founder\n\nSee the full agenda below and join us on Zoom this Thursday from 6-8pm as we stay informed and engaged together.

SUMMARY:Landlord Requirements & Tenant Rights via Zoom Dec 5
DESCRIPTION:Join ZAP on December 5th!\nJoin the Inter Neighborhood Cooperation (INC) Zoning & Planning Group for our 2nd community forum of 2023!\nWhen: Tuesday\, December 5th\nWhere: Online (Zoom Link)\nTime: 6:30-8pm\nTopic: Landlord Requirements and Tenants Rights\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHappy Fall! \nCome join us at the final ZAP meeting for 2023. It was a short year for the committee though we will be ending with a great meeting! Come learn about Denver’s new landlord license requirement needed for ANY rental in the city\, short or long term\, and about the expanded tenants’ rights in the state. \nLandlord License Requirement– If you own an apartment building\, duplex or even a single-family residence in Denver and rent it out long term (more than 30+ consecutive days)\, you need a residential rental license starting in 2024. You will learn about everything you need to do to prepare all the documents\, how and where to get an inspection\, what the application looks like and what the fees are. Make sure you are compliant before 2024 arrives!  \nShort Term Rental License– Renting out your primary residence on Airbnb or VRBO? A short-term rental is one that is rented for 1 to 29 days and also requires a license in Denver. There have been some updates to the requirements for a short-term rental license\, come learn all about all the changes and what you need to do to be compliant.  \nUpdated Tenant’s Rights– If you are a renter in Denver\, come get informed about all of your rights. Think you don’t have a lot of rights as a renter? Wrong! You have many rights including habitability and a minimum standard of your home. If you have questions about your rights as a tenant in Denver\, we will have a lawyer from Colorado Poverty Law Project to answer any question you have. \n \nCome and join others interested in all things Zoning and Planning going on in and around Denver! As we plan the meetings for 2024\, we would love your input on what you are interested in hearing about in 2024. Come and share your ideas with us at our final meeting of 2023. \nEveryone is welcome! Attendees do not need to be INC delegates. You are welcome to participate even if your neighborhood organization is not a member of INC\, or you are not active in a neighborhood group. Please pass on this invitation to anyone who might be interested in joining the committee.
