SUMMARY:Alameda Avenue Corridor Study
DESCRIPTION:From Cole Neder\, a Senior Transit Planner with the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) and a member of the project team that is working with Denver\, Lakewood\, Aurora\, Glendale\, the Regional Transportation District (RTD)\, and CDOT to develop an Alameda Avenue Corridor Study. \nThe purpose of this study is to identify current safety or mobility challenges along Alameda\, and outline solutions to make the corridor safer\, better for transit riders\, and more accessible for all users in the future. You can learn more about the study here: https://engage.drcog.org/alameda-avenue-study. \nOur steering committee identified Winston Downs Community Association as a group with stakeholders that live\, work\, or travel along this corridor. We will be hosting six focus groups along the corridor focused on different sections to gather community input on the Alameda corridor and your ideas for future improvements. We thought you would be most interested in the Segment 4 Focus Group\, which will discuss the corridor study from University Boulevard to South Quebec Street: \nWhen:             Saturday\, November 11th\, 2023 \n                        2:00 PM – 3:00 PM  \nWhere:            George Washington High School\, Classroom 141 \n                        655 S. Monaco Parkway\, Denver\, CO. 80224 \nIf you are interested in attending\, you can register online here: https://engage.drcog.org/alameda-avenue-study/focus-group-registration. We encourage as much attendance as possible\, so feel free to forward this invite to others or let me know if you have any recommendations for others I could invite. We will be offering $25 stipends to members of the public to compensate people for their time. \nIf you have any questions\, please reach out to Cole directly:  P: (309) 373-4940   or eMail: : cneder@drcog.org

SUMMARY:KIDS IN THE CROSSFIRE: A TOWN HALL Exploring Solutions to Youth Violence in Denver
