SUMMARY:Presentation Near SE Area Plan Includes Winston Downs
DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPLACE BRIDGE ACADEMY\, 7125 CHERRY CREEK N. DR FROM 530PM TO 700PM\n\n\n\nA significant development is the comprehensive rezoning of properties previously under outdated zoning codes such as Planned Unit Development (PUD)\, Planned Building Groups (PBG)\, or community corridor (CC). Spearheaded by Community Planning and Development (CPD) and the District 4\, 5\, and 6 council offices\, this modernization effort aligns with the 2010 zoning code\, fostering a more cohesive and inclusive urban environment. \nRemarkably\, Denver is still operated under two zoning codes\, with the old code (Former Chapter 59) dating back to February 11\, 1955. About 20% of Denver’s properties fall under this outdated code\, and CPD is now working to rezone them into a single code within the NSEAP area. This crucial step to reflect what we heard from residents and to fall in line with the 2010 zoning code \nThere is an upcoming community open house for residents to learn more about the rezoning proposal \, and to share their feedback or talk to a planner one-on-one. \nPLEASE NOTE:  Links are slow to load. If you have issues please contact Francisca Penafiel at email:  francisca.penafiel@denvergov.org \nRSVP TO ATTEND \nINFORMATION ABOUT EVENT \nSIGN UP TO TALK TO PLANNERS ONE-ON-ONE

SUMMARY:Bike Registration & Neighborhood Watch Training
DESCRIPTION:SPECIAL INVITATION OPPORTUNITY!!!\n\nSpecial one-time training about 529 Garage (this training will NOT be repeated.)  Wednesday\, April 26th from 5pm to 6pm at the District 3 Station – 1625 S. University Blvd (before the Neighborhood Watch training). The Denver Police Department is now partnering with 529 Garage for all bicycle registrations. At this training you will learn how to register your bike\, alert 529 Garage if your bike is ever stolen\, and how to help reunite stolen bikes with their owners.  This training is intended to familiarize you with how to register your bike and potentially assist with registering bicycles in our community. \nIf your bicycle is stolen\, the best chance of getting your bike back relies on riders taking responsibility now and registering their bikes. By using Garage 529 you can help our Denver Police District 3 Officers prevent bicycle theft and aid their efforts to relocate stolen bikes with their owners. Participants will learn why the founder of the X-Box created 529 Garage\, with reach across all of North America! Please RSVP by Tuesday\, April 25th to christie.mochoruk@denvergov.org. \nDenver Police Bicycle Registration – https://denvergov.org/Government/Agencies-Departments-Offices/Agencies-Departments-Offices-Directory/Department-of-Transportation-and-Infrastructure/Programs-Services/Bicycles/Bike-Registration

SUMMARY:Solo Exhibition Buell Theatre Lobby
DESCRIPTION:Danielle SeeWalker Solo Exhibition: You Can’t Have Our Braids (Buell Theatre lobby)\, Oct. 15-Jan. 1\, 2023 A companion exhibition to “The Red Road Project\,” Danielle SeeWalker’s solo exhibition showcases her original paintings\, with mixed media works that merge expressionistic portraiture with her Lakota traditions. https://www.artscomplex.com/explore-the-complex/danielle-seewalker-solo-exhibition-you-cant-have-our-braids/ \nBuell Theatre lobby exhibitions are accessible to theatre patrons during events. If you would like to schedule a tour of the exhibit\, please contact Shanna Shelby\, Denver Arts & Venues program administrator and chief curator of exhibitions\, at shanna.shelby@denvergov.org. \nAbout Danielle SeeWalker\nDanielle SeeWalker\, a member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe in North Dakota\, is a Hunkpapa & Oglala Lakota artist\, writer\, and mother based in Denver\, Colorado. She serves as a Commissioner with the Denver American Indian Commission and holds a career with a Fortune 500 company. Because of the historical stigma often associated with being Native American (particularly in North Dakota)\, Danielle often felt shame and hopelessness as a young girl. That experience has only fueled her passion and dedication to this project with hopes to inspire Native American youth\, peers and future generations. Today\, through her artwork\, writing and lectures\, Danielle continues to redirect the narrative to an accurate and insightful representation of contemporary Native America.
