City Seeks Input on Housing and Homelessness Strategic Plan Goals
Community survey open through June 24
Denver’s Department of Housing Stability (HOST) is seeking input to help set the direction of the city’s work on affordable housing and homelessness resolution over the next five years.
Earlier last year, HOST began a five-year strategic planning process. Through significant stakeholder input, HOST has identified initial goals and is asking for your input to help shape the plan and the department’s priorities. A community survey is open through Thursday, June 24 for concerned individuals to provide input on initial strategic planning goals. The survey is available in English, Spanish, Arabic and Vietnamese. Note from WDCA: If you have issues accessing the survey please email Robin.Kneich@denvergov.org asking for access to this survey.
Following the survey, HOST will continue to draft the plan with input from several stakeholder groups including the Housing Stability Strategic Advisors and a strategic planning executive committee. An initial draft of the plan will be released for public review and comment late this summer, prior to the final plan’s presentation to City Council for approval in November.
For more information on the planning effort and to sign up for updates on the process, visit www.denvergov.org/housing. The Department of Housing Stability is committed to building a healthy, housed and connected Denver. The department invests resources, creates policy, and partners to provide housing stability, resolve episodes of homelessness, and create housing opportunities.

Virtual Neighborhood Watch Action and Awareness Training, Wednesday, June 9th, 2021 at 6 pm. Denver Police District 3’s Neighborhood Watch program encourages a partnership between Officers and the Residents they serve. Officers promote Neighborhood Connectivity by encouraging Neighbors to get to know one another, and teaching residents how to effectively observe and report suspicious behavior. This program creates awareness through Implicit Bias education – reminding neighbors – it’s the person’s behavior, not the person to be mindful of when observing and reporting suspicious behavior to the Police. To RSVP to receive the link to participate in this training please email D3NeighborhoodWatch@denvergov.org
Have a safe, happy Memorial Day weekend.
