New Elevated Ramp from Broadway to Southbound I-25 is Open

Elevated ramp replaces former ground-level on-ramp for better traffic flow

DENVER – Denver’s Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) would like travelers to know that a newly constructed, elevated on-ramp from Broadway to southbound I-25 is now open. The ramp was built to ease vehicle congestion and enhance safety as part of the I-25 and Broadway Travel and Safety Improvement Project.

Accessing the southbound I-25 on-ramp. Drivers headed south on Broadway will now turn right to access the I-25 southbound on-ramp at Ohio Avenue. People headed north on Broadway should continue on to Lincoln St, then turn left at Exposition and left onto Broadway to access the new ramp at Ohio.  This route to the ramp for northbound travelers, shown on the map below, will remain in place through 2025 while Ohio Street remains closed between Lincoln and Broadway.

Accessing the northbound I-25 on-ramp (no change): Northbound I-25 access remains at Lincoln for drivers on northbound Broadway. Drivers on southbound Broadway are encouraged to access I-25 using Alameda or Mississippi.

Work on travel and safety improvements will continue through spring 2026. All work is weather dependent, and schedules are subject to change. Residents can visit the project website at SoBroI25.com for updated information and to sign up for weekly e-blasts.
