Notice of Public Hearing to Consider Updates to the Rules and Regulations for the Office of the City Forester
Notice is hereby given that the Department of Parks & Recreation for the City & County of Denver is considering updates to the existing Rules and Regulations to include and clarify the ability for the Office of the City Forester to issue an Administrative Citation without a ten-day notice period in limited scenarios as allowed by the existing Denver Revised Municipal Code Sec. 2-283. The ten-day notice period may not apply if “continued violations would cause immediate peril to life or property or is of a nature that requires immediate compliance”. A reduction in damage to trees and an increase in tree preservation may be achieved with this update. The update also includes miscellaneous definitions, clarifications and forms.
Denver Parks and Recreation will hear public comments on these proposed updates on Wednesday, June 11 at 4:30 PM through Zoom. Register for the public hearing here. To speak at the public hearing, email Arthur.gilkison@denvergov.org prior to the meeting start time.
