| Colorado’s 150th, and our nation’s 250th, anniversaries are a special time to honor our past while looking ahead to our bright future. In Colorado, we are especially proud of our strong agriculture history, and we are working to ensure agriculture remains a central part of Colorado’s economy and way of life well into the future. I proudly joined the Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA) to unveil a new traveling mural commemorating our milestone anniversary.
The stunning mural showcases Colorado’s agricultural history: past, present, and future. The mural, which is 35 feet wide and was recently completed by Colorado-based artist Thomas “Detour” Evans, was formally unveiled at the National Western Stock Show (NWSS). From the plains to the mountains, the mural represents the varied agricultural communities of Colorado.
The mural will make several appearances across the state as it makes its way down to Pueblo for the Colorado State Fair in August 2026, and can be viewed at CSU Spur through March 15, 2026. Upcoming locations will be announced at SettingColoradosTable.com. |
