New Water Main Replacement along S. Oneida Way between S. Olive Way and E. Virginia Ave. Begins 11/29
As Denver Water’s infrastructure reaches the end of its useful life, specific water mains in need of replacement are identified to ensure you receive a continuous supply of high-quality water. Please share this information with others at your property.
When: Work will begin 11/29 and will last approximately one month. We will make every attempt to complete this project within the stated timeframe; however, delays due to unexpected construction issues and weather may happen.
Working hours are typically Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Where: South Oneida Way between East Virginia Avenue and South Olive Way.
What to Expect:
Before work begins:
“No Parking” signs will be posted in the work area.
Street parking will not be available during working hours, and vehicles left in the “No Parking” zone may be towed.
Sandbags will be placed on curb grates to prevent mud and debris from entering the storm drains.
During construction: Crews will store equipment at the worksite and will work in phases to dig a trench and install the new water main.
Water outages will be necessary on this project.
Prior to planned outages, we will send specific information about the date and expected length of the outage, as well as ways you can prepare so you have water on hand. Note: WDCA has asked which specific areas might experience water outages and will advise once we hear back from Denver Water.
While unlikely, emergency water shut-offs may also occur.
Afterward: Final restoration of roadway paving, curbs, gutters and landscaping generally begins one to three weeks after construction and will be completed as weather and schedules allow.
