This is WDCA’s response to Denver Department of Transportation & Infrastructure/DOTI on their proposed revised bike lane proposal. Comments are on the proposed north/south routes on S. Monaco Parkway and S. Oneida, and equally important, also on their general process for selecting and prioritizing routes and making design recommendations. Many in Winston Downs support the overall goal of expanding safe bicycle and walking pathways. WDCA’s response also contains constructive feedback in improving their processes and ensure they actually coordinate with us before they move this project to the implementation phase. We included comments about process improvement because the process was deeply flawed when adding the bike path on E. Virginia Ave.For this new expansion, DOTI had a public meeting in mid-November.
