Primary Election Ballots

Ballots were mailed and most received this past week or week before.  Colorado law allows unaffiliated voters to participate in the primary election. You have both a Republican and a Democratic ballot and must choose which party’s ballot you want to vote and return only that ballot. Even though you choose a particular party, you will still remain unaffiliated.

Street Racing

If you hear them and are disturbed by the noise and safety issues, please call 911.     Drivers caught street racing can lose their driver’s licenses with a 12-point traffic violation, be fined up to $999 and have their vehicle impounded.
What to do if you’re caught in an illegal street race
First, stay in your vehicle and do not engage with the racers
Second, do NOT try to impede or block the racers
Lastly, if the racers are trying to slow or block traffic, stay back or pull off into the right shoulder and call 911

Expanded Trash Program – “Cash for Trash”

The City Council vote was delayed in order to review parts of the program that were not clear or not well designed.  WDCA board opposed the program as it is currently written.  CLICK HERE to see our letter of opposition.
