Free Bicycle Registration re Lost/Stolen Bikes
Register Your Bike – https://project529.com/garage/organizations/denverpolicedept/landingThe Denver Police Department has partnered with 529 Garage to give residents a quick and easy way to register their bikes. Project 529 offers a platform for bike owners to provide information about their bike (including photos) to help with identification in case it’s lost or stolen. By registering you increase your chances of having your bike returned. Accessible online and through a smartphone app called “529 Garage,” the portal allows people to submit serial numbers, enter descriptions and even upload photos into a database that others can view.
Near SE Area Plan Voted in by City Council
With the support of numerous residents who spoke in person and virtually, the Near Southeast Area Plan was adopted by the Denver City Council earlier this week after a courtesy public hearing. The plan includes Winston Downs.
The adoption concludes two years of community collaboration and signifies the start of the implementation of a 20-year vision for the neighborhoods of Goldsmith, Indian Creek, University Hills North, Virginia Village and Washington Virginia Vale. That vision calls for more housing options, safer streets and a commitment to addressing the effects of climate change.
Winston Downs wishes to thank resident, Harvey Cohen, who was appointed by the City to serve on the Steering Committee, and who has diligently represented Winston Downs through this process. Read about the plan at following link.
