PAID RTD CONNECT Community Ambassador
RTD has launched RTD CONNECT, an initiative to create a roadmap for the future of transit in
our region, and Community Ambassadors will play an important role in making sure community
voices help shape that future.
Community Ambassadors will serve as a bridge between RTD and the community. Through two
phases of engagement in Fall 2026 and Summer 2027, they will share information about RTD
CONNECT, gather feedback from community members and connect the community to
opportunities to participate in the project.
It will be a great opportunity to build leadership and communications skills, grow your network
and learn more about transit planning! Community Ambassadors will also receive a
$2,500 stipend, $1,250 in each engagement phase.
Who should apply?
RTD is looking for people who are connected to their communities — whether through a
neighborhood group, community organization, advocacy work, social media or other local
networks. No prior transit planning experience is required. In fact, RTD hopes to engage
people and communities who have not traditionally had a role in transportation planning.
