Overview – Introduction
When Winston Downs was being developed from 1956, the developers instituted covenants to ensure that only single family houses would be built in this neighborhood. There were four total filings and all but one was an automatic expiration date of 25 years unless owners re-instituted the covenants.
In 2020, it was discovered that one covenant (Filing 3) was still active. It was revoked in 2021 after obtaining the required number (66%) of approval signatures of homeowners within this filing.
